This time, the venue changes to the supa’ cool Reality Rehab Center, and the line-up features the scariest microphone humpers in the Middle-East.

The first 3 shows — Malben vs. Finkelstein, Cadaver Eyes and
Van Pazanowski — must end by 23:00, so we seriously intend to start performances at 21:00.
Drool & Nicoteen will start after 23:00 and Tom Sveta will end this night playing a set of sweet calipso tunes for our bleeding ears.

I made a point that I want to be there when it happens… so here we are:

Next Wednesday (28.12) at the Anna Loulou Bar, SugaPusher and Finkelstein will play 2 completely different DJ sets, one after the other.

SugaPusher will accompany Werner Herzog’s film, Lessons in Derkness, with a mix of fitting audio atrocities.

Finkelstein will play some rough groove delights, dug from the inner zef of his old vinyl collection.

We’re super-excited to announce the upcoming Balata show alongside Dirk Diggler at the Reality Rehab Center this Monday.

It’s been a while since both bands performed, and we are anxious to play and try out the cool rehab center.

It’s a good opportunity to share two recent reviews that Balata’s debut album received on Julian Cope’s Address Drudion and Orlando’s finest doom blog.

There are only a few tickets left, but it’s still nice to announce that Mujahideen, Neft, TaaPet, Gilli the Kid and Hamster will take over one of the two stages at this year’s In-D-Negev festival.

But hey, you don’t have to buy the ticket — the mighty Gravitzki crew will set up a free stage outside the festival. Line-up is tentative but we will play there as well, probably on Friday.

Yes, yes, we’re doing more “Caligari” shows — TaaPet‘s renewed soundtrack for the German classic silent film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

Our first Caligari shows happened around the year 2000 and were documented on our third album for Fact Records. A few months ago, more than 10 years later, we revisited our work and re-performed the soundtrack at the Jerusalem Cinematheque.

This upcoming performance is part of Oz in the City 2011 events.

The ATNT soundsystem are going to take over this coming weekend (Rosh HaShana) with a 3-day free-tekno event near Palmahim. TaaPet will definitely be there, and so should you! (-:

Not far from there, our friends from the gravitzki in Givat-Brenner plan their lil’ fest, this time in opposition to some local plans to build a new neighborhood where it doesn’t belong. TaaPet will most probably play there as well, on the same bill with the awesome Zaka and Mujahideen.

So, our current plan is to play on Thursday (Sept. 29th) at the Minitek rave, the next day (Sept. 30th) at Givat-Brenner, and then we have one day left to come down and puke our hippy out at Palmahim again (if we stay alive, there may even be a Finkelstein gig).

Grunewald & Finkelstein are coming back with a vengeance for a live show with Rocky B this Monday night, at The Pearl Underground series in the Anna Loulou Bar.

Previous collaborations between Eran Sachs and Aviad Albert led to works by Grunewald, Weichselbaum, Finkelstein and Ziolkowsky (with video artists Niv Hachlili and Ariel Efron) and The HEB 3 (with video artist Michael Zupraner). The duo’s live sonic excursions also led to a live collaboration with Sala Manca and to the formation of Lietterschpich back in 2004.

This Monday (Sept, 12) G&F will be playing together again, this time with a heavy groovy twist, noisy field recordings and vocals by Rocky B. We’re guests of The Pearl Underground series, where musician and spoken word artists meet and improvise. There are many cool musicians, DJs, talkers, rappers and video artists involved. Check out the facebook event or the Anna Loulou Bar’s blog for full details.
